The air reservoir cannot work independently. It needs to cooperate with the air pump, ECU (Electronic Control Unit), sensors, etc. The complete work process is divided into 3 steps:
Signal triggering: The vehicle height sensor continuously monitors the vehicle posture (such as height, tilt), or the driver selects the driving mode (such as "off-road" "sport") through the central control, and transmits the demand signal to the ECU.
Air pressure regulation: The ECU, based on the signal instructions, controls the air pump to inflate the air reservoir (when it needs to increase / become harder), or controls the exhaust valve to release the air in the air reservoir (when it needs to decrease / become softer).
State stability: When the air pressure in the air reservoir reaches the set value by the ECU (corresponding to the target height or stiffness), the sensor sends a feedback signal, and the ECU stops inflating or deflating, and the air reservoir maintains the current state to maintain vehicle stability.
Economical and practical: No need to replace the entire air tank, reducing maintenance costs.
Recovery performance: Replace aged rubber or seals to restore air tightness and shock absorption effect.
Easy installation: The structure matches the original size and maintenance is convenient.
Extended service life: Regular replacement of vulnerable parts can extend the overall service life of the air tank.
Strong adaptability: Widely applicable to the aftermarket air tanks of mainstream models such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Land Rover.
